Holiday Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispie Treats

I wanted to make a simple treat to bring into work for the holidays, so I decided to add a little twist to a classic treat! I made original Rice Krispie treats, then dipped them in melted dark chocolate (because we all know chocolate makes everything better!). After letting the chocolate cool and harden on the treat, I attempted to add a festive flair by adding little bows with icing to resemble presents. My icing came out of the tube a little thick, but I think you can still get the idea!

Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispies
– 3 tbsp butter
– 1 bag large marshmallows
– 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
– 1 cup dark chocolate morsels
– icing & sprinkles of your choice!

Melt the butter in a large pot, add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add the cereal and stir to combine. Transfer the cereal mixture to a greased baking dish and let set.

Fill a small pot with about 1/2 cup of water, heat over medium-low heat. Place a bowl on top of the pot and add the chocolate morsels. Stir every now and then until melted. Cut the Rice Krispie treats into squares (or your desired shape) and dip in the chocolate! Let cool and decorate!
