Turkey Basil Burgers

Enjoy the last nights of summer grilling up these tasty turkey burgers for your friends and family! Fresh basil is added right to the patties for a great pop of flavor and you can customize the final product with whatever toppings suit your fancy.

Turkey Basil Burgers

  • 1 package ground turkey (about 1-1.5 lb)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3-4 fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper

In a large bowl mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, and basil. Your hands may be the best utensil for this job to make sure all of the ingredients are well incorporated and you don’t wind up with clumps of breadcrumbs in your burgers. Form the ground turkey mixture into 8 patties, 2-3 inches across. Place burgers on a hot grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
